Our Morning

• Our classroom (the environment) doors open at 8:30 a.m.
  • This is a time to catch up with friends before the school day starts.  
  • It is an important time of socialization.
• Our day officially starts at 9:00 a.m.
  • The morning is spent in the classroom environment.
    • We start by preparing ourselves and our environment for the day.
    • During the morning, students work at five different subject areas.
      • Practical Life
      • Sensorial 
      • Math 
      • Language 
      • Culture

Lunchtime

• Toddler children dismiss from our playground at 11:45 a.m. daily.
• Half day students are dismissed at 12:00 p.m.
• Lunch and outdoor recess are from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Students eat lunch together with their classmates in the classroom environment and then all students are outside together for recess.  

Our Afternoon

• Our afternoon begins at 1:00 p.m.
  • Half day casa students have gone home for the day and the focus in our casa rooms is on the older more independent children.
  • Our specialty subjects take place in the afternoon.
    • Gym with our physical education instructor.
    • Music with the music instructor
    • Art  (At times with an art instructor and at times within the classroom environment.)
    • French for our kindergarten and elementary students
    • Drama for our elementary students

Dismissal

• Dismissal of all full day casa and elementary students is at 3:30 p.m.

Extended Care

• Before school extended care starts at 7:30 a.m. and runs until 8:30 a.m. when the classroom doors open.
• After school extended care starts at 3:30 p.m. and runs until 5:30 p.m.
